Welcome to RC’s Changsheel /  Chaainsheel Bugyal Trek in Uttarakhand  & Himachal (India) – The best Summer and winter trek in the Himalayas .

When it comes to trekking in Garhwal in Uttarakhand / himachal (India)  Changsheel / Chaainsheel Bugyal Trek, is a classic Summer trek. The trek provides a great opportunity for trekkers to see the scenic beauty and experience the life of remote villages, .Sewa masri hdwari of Garhwal Himalayas.

If there is a classic trek in Uttarakhand  / Himachal border in India, it has to be the Changsheel /  Chaainsheel Bugyal. This trek is like an orchestra, building up momentum with surprises in scenery every hour or so.

Changsheel /  Chaainsheel Bugyal  Trek lies in the Govind Wild life Sanctuary and National Park in Uttarkashi district of Uttarakhand.and Himachal border

Range Climbers  has collaborated with Uttarakhand Tourism to open this trek to Changsheel /  Chaainsheel Bugyal. Together, we are running it as the Trek of the year 2017, this is our local trek in uttarakhand.

Chaainsheel/ Changsheel  Bugyal trek is one trek you must do for its meadows. In June, the meadows come alive with fresh grass, making them lush. You’ll want to take off your shoes and run your feet through the soft carpet. Shepherds bring out their sheep to graze in these meadows. It’s a complete storybook setting. And the icing on the cake? You camp right in the middle of these bugyals on three days of the trek – a new meadow each time

The Changsheel Bugyal trek, which took us to this pristine, misty, high altitude meadow . The weather was good with some light to medium showers. The temperature was moderate and though the trek was quite a climb, the students managed to complete it. The Changsheel Bugyal which is above the tree line has breathtaking 360 degree views across the surrounding valleys. The bugyal itself was full of flowers of all colours and shades. We reached the Changsheel Summit at 3845mt/12615ft in the morning, and after a short halt at the top, we set back for Akhoti Thatch a beautiful grassy glade where we had already camped on the 2nd night. The whole trek was interspersed with idyllic spots with gurgling streams, bridges with overhanging trees, water mills, grassy glades laden with flowers and amaranth fields ablaze in red. The boys had a great time singing, dancing and telling stories around campfires every evening. The 50 plus kilometre trek was a exhilarating experience and was completed without a hitch, all’s well that ends well!!!  Chainsheel trek from Uttarakhand is a hidden gem that needs to be high on anyone’s list. The trek has enough challenging sections to excite and is yet achievable with the right mindset and preparation. Reaching Saru Tal is a magical experience and the meadows with flowers of all colours can cure even the sick. Additionally, there are a lot of apple orchards at lower heights and minerals at higher heights you can spot on the way. The water quality is fabulous. The spurs and rocks along the meadows give a unique a rugged look to the whole place. Balawat, the base camp, is a lovely village to just stay in for a few days

The Changsheel /  Chaainsheel Bugyal  trek campsite is great for birding and surrounded by beautiful snow peaks. The Changsheel /  Chaainsheel Bugyal Valley trek makes for a terrific trek in virgin snow, with pretty campsites and astonishingly wide clearings in the forests.
